CODE GREEN CANADA is an official inter-provincial co-production between Ric Beairsto of Laughing Mountain Communications (BC) and Daniel Leipnik of Vibrance Alive Entertainment (BC), Ron E. Scott of Prairie Film & Television (Alberta), Paul Scherzer of Six Island Productions (Ontario), and Edward Peill of Tell Tale Productions (Nova Scotia).

 

 

Rick BeairstoRic Beairsto

 

Ric Beairsto is the President of Laughing Mountain Communications Inc, and a veteran film and television producer with more than 20 years experience in writing and producing both dramatic and documentary materials for all of Canada's major broadcasters. He recently produced STAND-UP SAMURAIS, about stand-up comedians working the small town venues of western Canada, as well as SUPERKIDS, an hour-long documentary on gifted children, both for CBC Newsworld. Ric also recently completed DARK PINES, a docudrama about the mysterious death of Tom Thomson, for CHUM TV.

 


 

 

Daniel LeipnikDaniel Leipnik

 

Daniel Leipnik, the President of Vibrance Alive Entertainment Inc, is fast becoming one of Vancouver's more prolific producers of full season TV Series, after several years of producing community and local news. In 2002 he completed MY MOTHER, MY HERO for SHAW and DELTA cable, a 13-part series on the effects of the Holocaust on mother-child relationships, and last year he completed OUT ON TV, a 22 episode Gay and Lesbian weekly news magazine for the same two broadcasters and PrideVision TV nationally. Daniel is also currently producing THE MOZALTOV CHRONICLES, a Jewish reality series for M Channel and SBS of Australia.

 

 


 

 

Ron E. ScottRon E. Scott

 

Ron is the President of Prairie Dog Film & Television Ltd. For over ten years PDFT has produced feature films, TV documentaries, specials and series for CTV, Global, APTN, Vision TV, ACCESS and CLT. PDFT's projects have screened at many film festivals and have won Awards at the American Indian Film Festival and the Alberta Film & TV Awards.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

Doug MainDoug Main

 

Doug Main has nearly three decades of experience as a television and radio presenter, writer, producer, creator and executive. He's worked as a communications and marketing consultant for publishers, educators, political leaders and business. Doug is a former Alberta MLA and Cabinet Minister and currently is Prairie Dog's Executive Producer.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

Paul ScherzerPaul Scherzer

 

President of Six Island Productions Inc., Paul Scherzer's work in film and television spans both drama and documentary, theatrical features and TV. In drama, Paul co-produced SABAH, and produced the award-winning dramatic features KHALED, NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPIN' ON THE BED, along with the Made-for-TV movies ROSE and SONNY BY DAWN. In documentary, Paul produced the 13-part TV series URBAN NITES for CTV/OLN, exec produced the feature doc ANJAR, and line produced/PM'd numerous films including BURTYNSKY for TVO/Bravo!, TOKYO GIRLS, JUST WATCH ME, JAVA JIVE, JENI LeGON for the NFB, and Gemini-winner HOCKEY NOMAD for CBC.

 


 

Edward PeillEdward Peill

 

Edward Peill entered the TV production business in 1996 and has worked in a variety of positions including several years as the Director of Production for Topsail Entertainment where he oversaw the development and production of more than 40 hours of drama, documentaries, lifestyle, and comedy series including the wildly successful TRAILER PARK BOYS. Edward also created and produced the highly rated verité documentary series TALL SHIP CHRONICLES which has been broadcast in dozens of countries in around the world and the interactive companion website www.tallshipchronicles.com which was the recipient of the 2002 Telefilm Canada New Media Award and the 2002 International EMMA Enhanced TV Award.
